Julie Sansalone: Teaching Days - Call for availability

Julie received a B.A. degree in Music Education from Coastal Carolina University where she then became an assistant music professor.  She is an executive board member of North Carolina Music Teachers Associatioon and a member of the North Fulton Music Teacher’s Association. Julie has over 18 years teaching experience.

Julie specializes in customizing a piano program for each student based on his or her individual musical interests and abilities.  Her objective is to teach students critical thinking skills so they can learn how to practice the piano correctly and learn the techniques necessary to make them the best pianists they can be.  She introduces elements such as theory, reading music and counting rhythms.  Julie wants students to enjoy what they play, so specific musical pieces may be taught at the student’s request.

Arlene Martinides: Teaching Days - Mondays, Thursdays

Arlene has over 10 years of piano teaching experience with students ranging from five years to adult, beginning to advanced levels, including special needs. Her strength is in teaching classical music, from Bach to Prokofiev, but she also teaches ragtime and pop music. Her students have routinely achieved superior ratings from the Atlanta Music Teachers Association and North Fulton Music Teachers Association, as well as the National Piano Guild.  She offers opportunities for recitals (in-home, studio, retirement communities, and malls) and competitive auditions throughout the year.

Brian Reid: Teaching Day - Saturdays

Brian Reid is a jazz pianist, composer, arranger, and recording artist based out of Atlanta, Georgia. Brian started off playing the piano by ear at age 12, and when he started playing jazz in high school, he knew it was his passion. Since studying with veteran jazz pianist Tyrone Jackson at Kennesaw State, Brian has been performing around Atlanta consistently, showcasing his drive and passion for music at a variety of venues throughout the city.

Brian has played with a diverse array of talented artists such as Sam Skelton, Tim Armacost, and The Voice contestant Pip. Beyond performing, his passion is composing original works and arranging classic tunes. Some of these compositions have been featured in world-premiere performances at Kennesaw State University. Brian intends to release an album of his original works in the near future so that his stylistic blend of modern jazz, classic blues, and jazz fusion can be shared with the world.

Brian has always believed that the most important aspect of music is its ability to both exhibit self-expression and foster meaningful relationships through collaboration, and he aims to express this in every aspect of his career. Whether he is in a duo or a big band, Brian always keeps this at the forefront of his mind to ensure the best possible performance of each song.
